The Cost: Worried about the cost?  So were we!  I mean those indoor water park resorts and Cedar Point can get pretty pricey.  But we worked some magic and got the cost down pretty darn low.  So what's it going to cost you?  Only $75!  That will cover your hotel stay\, water park pass at Castaway Bay\, Cedar Point admission\, transportation\, and your dinner on the 19th.  All other food is on your own. SUMMARY:Nerf Wars
DESCRIPTION:What's better than over 1000 Nerf darts flying through the air in a gym that's been changed into a giant battleground?  Not much is my guess.  Nerf Wars is your chance to wage war against others in various types of team games.  One round may find you trying to capture an enemies base while others defend it.  Another round may pit your team against 3 other teams in an all-out team deathmatch war.  We've done our best to create different scenarios made popular by many different first person shooter video games like Call of Duty and Halo. So let's get the details out of the way for you about Nerf Wars: When is it: December 28th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm Where is it: In the Gym at Cross of Christ (North end of the parking lot)\, NW corner of Telegraph and Lone Pine Who can come: Anyone in grades 7 - 12 is invited to this Nerf Wars event What should I bring: You can bring any standard Nerf Gun that takes either the suction cup darts or whistler darts (only Nerf brand guns typically work with these darts).  If you have more than one gun feel free to bring them to allow others to use as well. What should I leave home: Don't bother bringing your own darts\, we'll supply well over 1000 darts for the event. How much does Nerf Wars cost:  Absolutely nothing!  That means it's free. Will there be food:  Yes\, we'll have pizza and pop available throughout the night. What if I don't want to play Nerf Wars: We'd love for you to still come up for the night.  We've have the Loft open with video games\, movies\, and a great view of the action down on the floor. Any other questions you may have feel free to call the Church office and ask for Pat Williams.

SUMMARY:Passion 2012
DESCRIPTION: What is Passion 2012? Let's start with what the Passion website says about it: "At the heart of it all\, Passion exists to see a generation stake their lives on what matters most. For us\, that's the fame of the One who rescues and restores\, and the privilege we have to fully leverage our lives by amplifying His name in everything we do. Given the fact that the university landscape changes every fall with a rush of new freshman faces\, our mission at Passion is to continue to engage the "university moment\," with the compelling message of Jesus and the story He is writing around the globe. To that end\, Passion 2012 is more than just another event\, it's a beautiful part of a movement that's about finding true meaning as we take our place in a story so much bigger than ourselves. It's about trading small dreams for a grand epic that is shaping history and has no end. And it's about a rare chance for tens of thousands of university-aged young people to gather in celebration of their common faith purpose." Imagine gathering with thousands of other Christians\, all your own age\, worshiping God together as one body and having the chance to listen to some of the most influential speakers of our day challenge you on changing your campus for Christ.  That's what Passion is.  It's worship.  It's teaching.  It's challenging.  It's so very much.  And it's for you. When and where is Passion 2012? We will be meeting at Cross of Christ on January 1st at 9am to begin our drive to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.  The conference will begin on January 2 and will run through the 5th.  We will depart at the close of the conference on the 5th and begin our long drive home.  Expect to return to Cross of Christ between 1 - 3am\, January 6th.  Passion will meet in the Georgia Dome and the convention center next door.  We will be staying at a local hotel near the Georgia Dome. What age group is Passion 2012 for? We're opening up Passion 2012 to anyone in college between the ages of 18 - 25.  We will consider High School Seniors for this trip but they will need to speak with Pat Williams if they would like a space. How much will Passion 2012 cost me? We will be charging $325 per person for Passion.  That includes your conference fee\, hotel stay (4 people per room)\, and transportation via the church bus.  You will be responsible for food on your own.  We will require a $75 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot on this trip.  The deadline to sign up and turn in that deposit is September 25th.  Please note that if we do not have 7 people sign up to attend we will cancel the trip and all deposits will be returned.  The final $250 is due to us by December 22nd. We want you at this trip so badly that we've even set aside some scholarships to assist with the cost of the trip if you need it.  So if money is holding you back from signing up\, don't let it!  Just talk with Pat and we'll do everything we can to help get you to Passion. Can my friends from school attend Passion 2012 with us? Of course!  In fact we'd love it.  Same idea as before though.  Fill out the form and turn in the deposit to secure a spot. How do I sign up for Passion 2012? All you need to do is download this registration form\, complete it\, and turn it in along with your deposit to Pat Williams before September 25th.
