Wednesday Nights... Grief Share Program
A GriefShare support group runs from 6:30-8 PM in Conference
Room B from September 23rd through December 16th. It's a
free 13
week video series and support group for
those who have recently lost a loved one. It's a place to be
around people who understand what you are feeling. You'll learn
valuable information about recovering from your grief and
renewing your hope for the future. (Each session is
self-contained; it's ok if you miss some!) All are welcome; you
need not attend every session. For more information, call Mary

First Wednesdays of Each Month... Prayer Group
What better way to spend time than to come together with fellow
believers to thank God for His many blessings, pray for our
church, our nation and our personal/family needs? This prayer
group will meet at church on the first Wednesday evening of the
month. Please join us from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary where
an Elder and Stephen Ministers will be present to lead us.
Communion Class
If you have a child who is understanding of,
interested in, and capable of the class work for First
Communion (typically, 3rd grade and up), the class for
the Spring will begin on Tuesday, January 19, with
Pastor Jon teaching. (Note that even though many
districts do not have school this day, the class will
still occur.) Pizza is served each week at 6:15p, and
class starts at 6:30p. Exam night is 3/16 and the First
Communion Service is at 3:30p on 3/20.
You need to register with the church office at
248-646-5886 so they have a count (please let them know
if you already have a copy of Luther's Small Catechism
book - burgundy cover). If you have any questions,

Divorce Care for Kids
Dates: Thursdays, from February 4, 2010 thru April 29,
2010
6:30 - 8:30pm.
Men's Challenge Breakfast
March 6th, 8:00 am - 10:00 am. Join us in the
Chapel for a video program featuring the ministry of
Nick Vujicic, a Christian man born without arms or legs.
Cross of Christ Ladies Spiritual Spa
SAVE these dates! March 5 & 6, 2010 are the dates for the
annual Cross of Christ Ladies Spiritual Spa to be held at
the Metropolitan Hotel (formerly the Troy Hilton) in Troy,
Michigan. Based upon the theme “For such a time as this…”,
it will feature gifted speaker Monique Nunes with music
provided by Women of Grace from Grace Centers of Hope in
Pontiac. Women of all ages are invited to attend. For

Mom 2 Mom Sale
April 17th, 10am - 1pm, For those of you unfamiliar
with a Mom-to-Mom sale, this event is an opportunity for
individuals from the community to rent a table to sell their
gently used infant, children’s, and maternity items. Many great
deals can be found on clothing, toys, strollers, furniture, and
