Advent By Candlelight

This evening event provides women with the opportunity to take a step back from the busy holiday season and bask in the glow of God’s love while waiting for the celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus.  Hostesses of decorated tables serve food by candlelight; attendees are served by men waiters and enjoy entertainment.  The event is held in our Light Center from 6:00pm to approximately 9pm.

Advent By Candlelight is the first Sunday evening in Advent. We have had over 300 ladies attend each year. One of our members will sponsor a table for eight inviting seven other ladies. Bringing her own china, crystal, silverware and decorations, she sets her table including at least 8 candles. She will also prepare appetizers and desserts for her guests. One of the highlights is always our waiters which help serve. There is a program which includes some form of entertainment and caroling. It is a beautiful evening, a wonderful way to begin Advent and prepare for the birth of our Savior.
