High school is full of expectations: perform, look ahead, succeed. It’s when we form friendships and shape who we are. At the center of it all is a God who understands, and who has a plan for you. A God who cares, who listens and who acts. Cross of Christ’s high school youth ministry is a place to find friends and acceptance, to have questions answered and to experience the love of Christ. We have small group Bible study every Monday, mentor ministries, and service/fellowship events  throughout the year. Whether you’re super-committed or you’ve just got questions about faith, you’re welcome with us.

30 Hour Famine 5/12, 5:30PM – 5/13, 6:30PM

The 30 Hour Famine is life-changing. We raise money to wipe out world hunger, then go without food for 30 hours ourselves, starting at lunch on Friday, May 12. At 5:30p we gather at Cross of Christ for a retreat full of fun activities and encounters with God. This year’s Famine starts with a service project at Family of God in Detroit, so please be on time! We’ll see God in each other, and in those in need  around the world. It’s a powerful night that’s fun and eye-opening, full of hope and possibility. Friends are welcome! Please prayerfully consider joining us for this world-changing event.
Every dollar we raise March-May will go to World Vision, the organization hosting the Famine. They make sure the love of Jesus can reach those in need. This year we are focusing on South Sudan, a country ravaged by famine and civil unrest. Our efforts will support refugees, and our brothers and sisters facing starvation in that area of the world. Students bring the funds they raise to the Famine retreat to get sent in. To sign up, email Beth Marshall: bmarshall@bloomfieldcross.org or go to our group page here. You will need a current Cross of Christ Medical Form and a Famine Consent Form to participate.  Let’s wipe out hunger together, and share the love of Jesus with those in need!
