Benevolence --- A Ministry of Compassion

 

Members of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, demonstrating their love for Jesus Christ, have become increasingly compassionate and caring. Because of this, we have established a Benevolence fund to assist members of our church who find themselves in need of short term assistance.

If you are approached by a member of our church who is in need of assistance, please refer them to talk to someone in the church office. Our Benevolence team will be pleased to evaluate their needs and provide whatever assistance is deemed necessary and God pleasing.

Should your heart be moved to assist those in need, we ask that you contribute your assistance monies to the Benevolence Fund. While for legal/tax purposes funds received by the Fund cannot be designated for specific individuals, the Benevolence Committee will consider your gift as they evaluate those individual or families in need.

Our desire to assist goes beyond simply providing money. We seek to provide counseling and/or referrals to ministries that can help with clothing, shelter, food, and/ or protection.
