ABS Classes: Adults Learning and Living Jesus

ABS101   Information Class… A study and interactive class designed to give people an overview of what it means to be a Christian.  Get to know what Christians believe, find out what Lutherans are all about, and see what’s happening at Cross of Christ.  Bring your good questions and expect to have your heart and mind excited!  1-2 HOURS FOR 4-6 WEEKS, QUARTERLY, DAY VARIES

ABS201   Grapevine Class… A study and interactive class.  Participants are encouraged to evaluate what their God-given gifts and talents may be.  Opportunities and encouragement will be given to connect with areas of ministry and fellowship at the end of the class.  1 HOUR FOR 6 WEEKS, SPRING/FALL, SUNDAYS, TEXT $10

ABS301   The Gospels… An in-depth study of the four Gospels.  The class is geared toward those who wish to engage in a wide range of questions centered on the life and ministry of Jesus.  Each week, a number of topics will be covered to help us understand what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus. Join the discussion at any time.  1 HOUR, ONGOING, SUNDAYS

ABS302   What Must I Do To Be A Disciple… A class that covers the elements of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.  We are saved by faith in Jesus, and we are called to follow Him.  Just what sort of life does Jesus call us to?  What is that new life about?  1 HOUR, SUNDAYS

ABS303   Marriage Building…A video study and interactive class that is all about “tuning up” and “learning about” marriages.  Dr. Kevin Lehman offers some timeless Biblically-based insights that will help both Married’s and About-to-Be’s enjoy healthier marriages.  2 HOURS, SUNDAYS AND WEDNESDAY EVENINGS SEPTEMBER-MAY, TEXT $7.

ABS304   Pastor Jon’s Thessalonians Class… A study and interactive class designed around Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians.  A great place to dig into God’s word and get to know Pastor Jon. 1 ½ HOURS, MONDAY MORNINGS, 10A, CLASSROOM #9.

ABS305   Crown Ministries Financial Class… A thorough, Biblically-based class that teaches everyone how to experience the joy of financial freedom. This class is designed to alleviate the anxiety caused by consumer debt, restore marriages torn by conflict over money, heal wounded self-esteem and shattered confidence resulting from poor financial decisions, and remove stumbling blocks to spiritual growth.  This course serves a range of people - those in financial crisis, those just "one paycheck from disaster,” those in "good" financial shape (but perhaps not honoring God with their resources), and those who are honoring God with their resources, but who want to deepen their understanding of God's stewardship. ABS306   Crown Ministries “Business by the Book” Class… What would happen if you made your business decisions by the BOOK? This class offers radical principles of business Management that go beyond the Ten Commandments and other biblical maxims. The bestselling Business by the Book is a step-by-step presentation of how businesses should be run according to the Creator of all management rules. Find out what God’s Word says on topics such as: hiring and firing decisions, pay increases and promotions, management selection, employee pay decisions, borrowing and/or lending decisions, discounting policies, forming corporations and partnerships, business tithing requirements.

 ABS401   Contagious Christianity… This class provides training and role-playing to effectively and compassionately share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. ANNUALLY, 6-HOUR WORKSHOP, TEXT $10.
