Growing With God…
We have
a vision to see kids in our church experience God in a real way.
We want them to love Jesus and His house with all their heart.
We see our kids standing strong in faith, growing up with a sure
foundation and knowing that their God is awesome! Cross of
Christ is the place for this to happen, and our children’s
ministry staff and many volunteers are the ones that make it
happen.
Cross of
Christ offers young kids from nursery through 6th
grade a bright start to their amazing journey through life with
God. This means having access to an exciting range of activities
and programs specially geared to a child’s age and development.
It’s a safe, appropriately supervised, family-friendly,
kid-rocking environment that offers peace of mind to parents
too!
Rainbow
Room Nursery has loving staff and volunteers who gently care for
God’s littlest lambs. We play, rock, feed (what a parent
provides), diaper, and love, love, love. SUNDAYS 9:15a through
1p.
SonBeam
Preschool provides kid-focused activities, crafts and stories
that communicate God’s love and lessons in our preschool rooms.
Plus, we visit our Theater for music and our gym for supervised
play! SUNDAYS 9:30a to 11a.
SonLight Central is for all kids in Pre-Kindergarten
through 4th
grade and under who want excitement, fun, atmosphere and
relevance in their experience with God. There are games and
activities, live dramas, upbeat music, and time with adult
Shepherds who make the lessons and the love very real. SUNDAYS
9:30a-11a.
SonLight SuperChurch
focuses on applying Biblical truths to real-life questions and
situations that our 5th and 6th graders face in their everyday
lives. Our Shepherds lead spiritual discussions and prayer,
encourage deeper community, and have the kids do activities to
reinforce the lesson. In addition, the kids are offered access
to a closed-community, secure web site where they can look for
clues about next week's lesson, submit prayer requests, and talk
with their SonLight City friends.

The 4Cs
(Cross of Christ Children’s Choir) practice weekly during the
school year and perform at least monthly during Sunday
services. Any child who is reading is welcome to join. Music
ranges from harmonious hymns to gospel music to contemporary
upbeat songs. WEDNESDAYS 4:45p-5:45p
Wednesday
Night Live is a time for kids to deepen their understanding
with a big dose of fun and fellowship. Every Wednesday, we'll
have something for everyone...nursery for the littlest ones,
preschool activities, Kindergarten-2nd grade small group class,
3rd-6th grade electives, Jr. Youth for 7th and 8th graders, and
Sr. Youth for high schoolers. Plus, adults can take advantage of
some wonderful educational offerings -- from financial classes
to DVD series. A family-friendly d inner is served beginning at
5:30p to allow families and friends to fellowship together
before class time. No pre-registration required -- just come
when you can! WEDNESDAYS 6:30p-7:30p, with extended nursery and
study time from 7:30-8:30 for kids with parents in classes
Vacation
Bible School (VBS)…
is our summer educational opportunity for all children ages 3
years (by July 1) to 6th grade. VBS includes a Bible Lesson with
games, crafts, singing, and lots of FUN! It is held each morning
one week during the summer, from 9 am – 12 noon. On Friday
night, a family celebration is held to showcase the kids’ fun
and learning. All friends, neighbors, grandkids, and cousins
welcome!
Upward Basketball
Program... We are currently in
the planning stages for the next season of the Upward basketball
and cheerleading program at Cross of Christ. The emphasis of the
program is that “Every Child is a Winner”. One goal of the
program is to create a positive environment for children to
experience basketball or cheerleading. The program teaches fundamental
basketball and cheerleading skills in addition to good sportsmanship
while sharing the message of Jesus Christ. For
