Health and Help …

Cross of Christ has an active Parish Nursing group that helps the congregation care for one another.  Registered nurses volunteer to commit to Jesus Christ's healing ministry and facilitate the health of the body, mind, and spirit throughout the congregation.  Parish nurses also assist with the activities that help show compassion and care for those in need, and, like all Christians, are called to promote a lifestyle that cherishes human life and sustains Christian hope. 

Parish nurse volunteers provide health education classes and seminars, facilitate grief support groups, visit members who are in the hospital or nursing homes, provide newborn care education for and visit the congregation’s new moms, sponsor Life Sunday and other pro-life activities, and check blood pressures one Sunday once a month between church services.
