Music

Cross of Christ Lutheran Church has a variety of music groups that perform everything from instrumentals to hymns to contemporary Christian music. A part-time Director of Worship and a part-time Organist/Accompanist support many volunteers who offer their musical gifts throughout the year in worship and other events as composers, vocalists, pianists, organists, instrumentalists, and guitarists.  Cross of Christ offers a place where musicians of any age can offer their musical gifts in service to the church to the Glory of God.  Contact the Church Office at info@bloomfieldcross.org or at 248-646-5886 for more information.

Christmas Concert…Each December, Cross of Christ produces a major Christmas Concert event featuring vocal, drama, and visual excellence and proclaiming the birth of Christ.  All our neighbors and friends are invited, and refreshments are served before each concert.  More than 60 people are involved in the production; we welcome all who wish to participate. Weekly rehearsals begin in September, and the concerts occur four times during approximately the second weekend in December.  REHEARSALS, WEDNESDAYS, 7:30p-9:00p, SEPTEMBER to DECEMBER.

Praise Team…Several teams of experienced singers participate regularly in the worship services at Cross of Christ, providing vocals, harmonies, and instrumental accompaniments to the hymns and Christian music.  SUNDAYS, 7:30a-1p

Troubadors of Joy…This ad hoc singing group travels to hospitals, nursing homes and private residences to share the joy of music with those who are ill or home-bound. The group meets once a month at church, then carpools to the destination. THIRD TUESDAYS, 6:15p-9p.
