Parents, please pick up all of your children (except Infants/Toddlers who are in the nursery) in the gym following the 10:30a service (approximately 11:45a).

Highlight of some important events coming up for kids and families at Cross of Christ 2010 ...

3/14 THIS Sunday... Daylight Savings Time (don't forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour)...ALSO, there is a special church anniversary celebration luncheon in the Light Center gym following the 10:30a service.  Because of this, all K-6th grade kids will be dismissed from the Chapel Theater. Preschoolers will be dismissed from Court 3 in the gym. Please plan to stay for the luncheon after you pick up your kid(s).

3/17 Passover Seder presentation from 6:45p-7:45p in the Sanctuary.  Bring your family to learn why your kids' Jewish classmates and your Jewish neighbors celebrate Passover...and discover what they may not know about how Jesus and the gospel message are revealed in this celebration.  Hosted by Jews for Jesus.  Nursery provided.

3/21 Starts 4 weeks of SLC Friendship Frenzy...kids who bring a visitor to SonLight City get entered with their friend to each win one of four $25 Target gift cards.  Applies to all ages -- nursery through 6th grade.  Over the 4 weeks we'll have at least one live animal, nifty giveaways, a super-cool party, and -- even better -- we'll tell the kids why Jesus died, was resurrected, and wants to be their best friend.

3/27  Special kids' performance at 2p on Saturday at the Upward Basketball and Cheerleading Closing Ceremony.  The special guest, Mark Thompson, is a nationally-known, amazing and hilarious puppeteer and ventriloquist.  He performs across the United States, including at Luis Palau gospel festivals.  Everyone is invited to attend whether or not you participated in Upward this year.  Bring friends or neighbors as well!  The kids (and the adults) will love it!

4/17 Mom-2-Mom Sale from 10a-1p...more than 70 tables of great gently-used kids' stuff and a whole Chapel Theater full of large items from cribs to toy kitchens to bikes...tell the moms and grandmas you know!  (Limited on-site parking; constant bus runs from Bloomfield Hills Andover High School parking lot...follow the signs).

5/1 International speaker and author Laura Petherbridge personally hosts a workshop from 9a to 1p on "The Smart Stepmom"... based on her new book of the same name (www.laurapetherbridge.com).  This workshop will draw on Laura's 23 years of experience to give practical information, hope and encouragement to all stepmoms.  Pass this information on to your friends and neighbors, too.  Contact the Church Office at 248-646-5886 to pre-register.

Summer SonLight City will start on June 6 and run through mid-August at the same 10:30a time. (Church service times are not changing for the summer.)  Also, don't forget to mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School, which will be held from June 21 to 25.  More information and registration are coming soon!
