Giving Our Love…

Cross of Christ offers support to local, national, and international missions in a variety of ways.

·    The loose plate offerings from each worship service are designated for a particular mission focus by month. These are selected by the Mission Committee.

·    Our Bloomfield Antiques Show hosts more than 35 dealers and 900 guests over a 2-day period. Between $10,000 - $15,000 is raised for local and international mission organizations, which are selected by the Antique Show Committee Members.

·    Periodically, we take special offerings to benefit outreach programs and those less fortunate. In the past, beneficiaries have included Food for the Poor, college student outreach, Haiti Lutheran Mission Society, United Evangelical Mission India, Grace Centers of Hope, and various Lutheran schools.

·    Food drives support local food banks and seminary food pantries.

·    Gifts of clothing, toys, hygiene items, and school supplies are collected for needy children and their families.

·    We collect our change for the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League’s mite boxes. These “mites” provide grant money to many Michigan and international mission projects.

·    On occasion, we provide our gym and classrooms to non-profit groups who could not otherwise afford the use of such facilities for their events.

·    Included in our church’s annual budget is a contribution to the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. This is used to support missionaries and mission programs worldwide.
