Sharing Our
Love …
Christ calls us to serve him by loving our neighbors. As you get
involved in God's mission outside the walls of our church, you
will witness the living Christ in the world. Not only will you
make a difference in someone's life, Christ will transform you
as well. God is inviting us to experience the Kingdom of God
here on earth. Come serve with us!

“Christmas in
July”
“Christmas in July” will take place during the month of July.
School supplies, clothes, toys, and hygiene items will be
collected for Lutheran City Ministries in Detroit and St. Paul
Lutheran Church in Pontiac.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pontiac has identified 9 teens who
need school clothes and supplies. We are asking families and
small groups to adopt one of these teens and fulfill their “wish
list”. Names of these teens and their needs are available at the
Welcome Center. These gifts are to be wrapped and returned to
the church office by July 31st.
The various needs identified by
Lutheran City Ministries in Detroit follow. There will be
collection boxes for these items (to remain unwrapped) under the
palm trees near the kitchen area of the Church.
Narthex. To supply a specific need, take a coconut from
the palm trees. All items should be returned by July 31st.
· For
Men: Socks – all sizes. safety-razors. travel-size deodorant
· Food
Items: Easy open cans of food for homeless & needy, healthy
snacks for children, juice boxes
· School
Supplies: Pencils, pens, colored pencils, crayons, markers,
notebook binder, notebook paper, folders, glue, scissors, pencil
holders
· Play
equipment: Various types of balls
· Cash
Donations For: Printer ink, subscriptions to “My Devotions”,
student subscriptions to “The Weekly Reader”
· Paper
Products: Tissue, paper towels, plates, cups, napkins. plastic
spoons, knives, forks
· Hygiene
Products: Shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, combs,
washcloths, chap sticks
Misc. Items: Library books
for young children. back-packs
